Daytona Beach, FL – December single family home sales in the Daytona Beach area market posted double-digit gains over the same month the year before and helped finish a strong year overall for detached home sales here. MLS figures show 401 single family homes sold here in December with a median sale price of $178,850. That’s a 9.5% increase in sales and a nearly 12% increase in median sales price compared to 2014.
The December MLS numbers add to the positive story for the entire year when it comes to the local real estate market where single-family home sales were up more than 13% compared to 2014 sales. Median sales prices for the same period were up by almost 6.5%.
Daytona Beach area Realtor Ron Wysocarski who leads the Wyse Home Team at Keller-Williams in Port Orange says sales across the market totalled more than 7,000 properties off all types in 2015. The median sale price across the market was $159,000. “We expect this year to bring continued steady sales and price increases overall in Florida but with some regional and geographical variations in the numbers,” Wysocarski said. “We will be watching the local markets closely to keep the area’s home buyers and sellers updated on any changing market conditions.”
In December last year, the Ormond Beach market topped sales with 112 home sold at a median sales price of $209,000.
