Daytona Beach, FL – Some flights from Daytona Beach International Airport have been grounded due to severe winter storms socking much of the northeast and mid-Atlantic region.
All 4 round-trip American Airlines flights from DBIA to its Charlotte, North Carolina hub have been canceled for Friday, according to the airport’s real-time flight tracker.
Delta Air Lines – which routes all of its DBIA flights through its hub in Atlanta, Georgia – is still flying all of its daily routes as scheduled, though one of its morning flights was re-routed to Jacksonville due to a threat of severe weather locally. That flight is expected to arrive later on in the day.
JetBlue Airways had a 15-minutes delay in its incoming flight from New York City, according to DBIA officials.
No cancellations have been posted at this time for any Saturday flights going in or out of DBIA.
Parts of the mid-Atlantic and Eastern Seaboard are expected to get up to 2 feet of snow this weekend.
