6 Women Arrested In Daytona Beach Prostitution Sting

Daytona Beach, FL – A Daytona Beach woman is in custody after telling an undercover officer she wanted “green roses” in exchange for a sex act.

26-year-old Ivana N. Kenzie-Wilkins is 1 of 6 women arrested in the Daytona Beach Police Department’s latest prostitution sting.

All 6 arrests took place late Friday afternoon or Friday night and featured women who advertised for clients on a website known to be used by prostitutes, according to the arrest reports.

The location of the arrests were redacted from the arrest reports by DBPD.

In the case of Kenzie-Wilkins, an undercover officer claims he called her using a number he found on that website and arranged to meet her at a hotel room that was being monitored by DBPD.

Per the report, Kenzie-Wilkins asked the undercover officer if he was law enforcement and told him she wanted “green roses”, which DBPD says is slang for cash money.

Another of the women arrested in the sting – 33-year-old Cari A. Gleason of Holly Hill – showed up with a friend and that friend tried to kiss the undercover officer before entering the hotel room, according to her arrest report.

The report noted that Gleason and her friend left after the officer backed away from the woman’s kiss, fearing that he was an undercover officer.

Gleason came back by herself later on that night and tried to pull the officer’s underwear away from his body, but she was caught by another officer after she ran out of the hotel room, per the report.

The others arrested by DBPD were 39-year-old Jessica A. Sawyer of Daytona Beach, 34-year-old Krysten B. Lawson of New Smyrna Beach, 29-year-old Felicia L. Cassidy of Ormond Beach and 23-year-old Amanda M. Sarandrea of New Smyrna Beach.

All 6 women were charged with misdemeanor solicitation. Sawyer and Larson were also hit with a felony drug-related charge after police found a clear plastic bag filled with meth and a glass tube with cocaine residue when they were being processed for booking at Volusia County Jail.
