Daytona Beach, FL – Investigators are trying to find a man who fired a bullet in the air during an argument with another man.
The Daytona Beach Police Department says it happened around 12:45am Saturday in front of Molly Brown’s on the 500 block of Seabreeze Boulevard.
DBPD released security footage from the strip club showing the suspect – a black man – getting into a fight with 2 other men before entering the club through the front door and then leaving by another door. That video is posted above this article.
According to the incident report, several witnesses flagged down a DBPD officer patrolling the area soon after the shot was fired.
One of those witnesses told the officer he was eating a slice of pizza when the fight broke out on the sidewalk and was less than 30 feet from the suspect when he pulled out the gun and fired 1 shot in the air.
DBPD searched the area surrounding the club and was not able to find the suspect, but an officer did find a shell casing on the sidewalk, per the report.
No injuries were reported and officers haven’t said at this time what sparked the fight.
The suspect is believed to stand around 5’10 with short hair and was wearing a red polo shirt and jeans.
