Ormond Beach, FL - Investigators are looking for a woman who attacked a man and stole his wallet at a gas station on US 1 earlier this week.
The Ormond Beach Police Department says it happened around 6:15am Tuesday at the Texaco on 5 South Yonge Street, right next to the Ormond Beach Police Department headquarters on West Granada Boulevard.
OBPD Officer Keith Walker says a woman who stands around 5’5 and weighs around 190 pounds attacked the elderly man after a clerk refused to sell her gas because she had no money.
“The suspect followed an elderly male subject out of the store and physically attacked him in the parking lot,” Walker stated. “The suspect struck the elderly male, pushed him to the ground and stole his wallet. The suspect then left the scene in a dark colored passenger car.”
The victim’s credit card was used a short time later in Holly Hill to purchase gas, according to Walker.
OBPD released 3 security videos from the incident as well as a pair of stills from those videos showing the suspect. Those are posted above and below this article.
Anyone with information can call OBPD at 386-677-0731 or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-8477 to remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward.
