Tallahassee, FL- In a state that hasn’t seen a major hurricane hit in almost ten years, Governor Rick Scott sounded a warning bell today in Tallahassee. Scott told residents, some who have never been through a tropical storm or hurricane, to get ready now for whatever Tropical Storm Erika brings.
“Think about what’s going to happen in a storm. We are going to hope for the best but be ready for the worst. Be ready,” said Scott.
“Stay up with what’s going on,” said Scott.“The most important thing is to think of each and every family member. Be prepared.”
The comments came as Scott visited the State Emergency Operations Center this morning.
