Daytona Beach, FL – No charges will be filed after a 29-year-old Port Orange man was hit and killed while riding a bicycle.
The Daytona Beach Police Department says Ryan Padgett died at the scene around 11:30pm Thursday on North Williamson Boulevard just south of Dunn Avenue.
Officers say 30-year-old Tolicia Williams of Deltona was driving in a vehicle on Williamson when it hit Padgett’s bicycle in the outside southbound lane as he was going southbound.
DBPD Sergeant Jimmie Flynt says officers aren’t exactly sure what Padgett was doing just prior to the crash.
Flynt added that no criminal charges are pending at this time and that neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the accident.
