Flagler County, FL-Three Matanzas High School students were caught Wednesday and charged with counts including armed burglary. The students are two males and a female ages 15 and 17. They are ninth grade and 10th-grade students.

It began with a call from a Palm Coast resident just before noon about hearing glass breaking and seeing suspicious people in the area. When deputies got to the area of 46 Fitzgerald Lane they observed three people running away. A deputy quickly took the 15-year-old female into custody. The two males, ages 15 and 17, were caught a bit later hiding in a wooded area near Flemingwood Lane and Flatwood Lane. The search used the FCSO helicopter and K-9.

Deputies were in contact with the school resource officer at Matanzas High who told them three students had jumped the fence and left campus earlier in the day.

The three were determined to have been involved in a burglary at 19 Fircrest Lane in Palm Coast. After that crime, deputies say the three next went to the Fitzgerald Lane address where they threw a stool through a window to break in.

Deputies returned all the stolen property to the victims.

All three are charged with counts including two counts of felony armed burglary.
