Daytona Beach, FL – 3 people are behind bars for having 2 separate methamphetamine labs at a beachside residence.
35-year-old Roger T. Aylor, 33-year-old James D. Addison and 25-year-old Lindsey E. Pobst were all arrested early Monday morning at their home on Morningside Avenue, around a mile south of Seabreeze High School.
2 Daytona Beach Police Department officers responded to the home around 1:10am Monday after getting a complaint and they called for backup after smelling a “strong chemical odor” and spotting meth lab ingredients while searching the home, per the arrest report.
A special meth lab team searched the home afterward and found over 116 grams of meth oil as well as a variety of items ingredients needed to make meth, including a gas generator, lighter fluid, muriatic acid and 160 pseudoephedrine pills.
2 separate “one pot” labs were found in the living room and in an upstairs bedroom, according to DBPD.
When questioned afterward, Addison – the homeowner – admitted that he knew Aylor – a renter – was making meth in the home, per the report.
At the time officers went into the home, they discovered Pobst sleeping in the bedroom that had one of the meth labs, according to the report.
Aylor and Pobst are charged with trafficking in meth, possession of meth chemicals and making meth in the presence of a child, though the report didn’t make mention of a child in the home at the time DBPD went in.
Aylor’s held on $25,000 bond at Volusia County Jail, while Pobst is held without bond on those charges as well as for violating probation for fraudulent use of personal identification.
VCJ records show Pobst has been booked there 4 other times since January 2014 on a slew of charges, including petit theft, drug paraphernalia possession and failing to return a hired vehicle.
Those records also show Aylor’s been booked there 11 other times since July 2006, including for petit theft, drug paraphernalia possession, driving with a suspended license, using a fake ID during a felony, credit card fraud and marijuana possession.
As for Addison, he’s held on $10,000 bond for renting a home for drug trafficking. VCJ records show he’s been booked there 4 other times since October 2011 on charges of domestic battery and driving with a suspended license.
