Daytona Beach, FL - Minor injuries are reported after a vehicle caught on fire on the eastbound side of Interstate 4.
Volusia County firefighters responded to the scene around 1pm Wednesday at Mile Marker 126 in the construction zone between DeLand and Daytona Beach.
Authorities believe the driver lost control of the vehicle, struck a barrier and flipped over, catching on fire as it came to rest on the right shoulder.
The driver managed to get out of the vehicle but had chest pain and possible burns, according to a spokesman for the Volusia County Professional Firefighters Association.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Traffic was backed up for some time as firefighters and law enforcement dealt with the situation.
At least 1 lane is still blocked as of 2:45pm Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
