Port Orange, FL – A Port Orange man leaves jail after police say he used stolen credit cards repeatedly to buy over $1,400 in food, mainly pizza.

44-year-old Larry Harrington was arrested on Thursday and has since posted $20,000 bond on 2 fraud charges and 1 count of organized scheme to defraud, according to Volusia County Jail records.

The Port Orange Police Department believes Harrington’s wife – 44-year-old Dawn Harrington – was an accomplice but she hasn’t been formally charged or booked at this time.

Investigators say it all started in February when the owner of Luigi’s Pizza on Clyde Morris Boulevard told POPD that the Harringtons used a credit card to pay for 2 orders at a home on Sugar House Drive.

The owner discovered soon afterward that the billing company refused to pay her the money owed because those credit cards were stolen, per the arrest report.

POPD thinks the Harringtons used stolen credit cards to buy food from 6 different restaurants in the city and have all of it delivered to the Sugar House Drive home.

Detectives suspect the Harringtons got those credit card numbers from people who had previously sold timeshares in the Daytona Beach area by calling those people up and pretending to give them a refund on the sale.

Investigators also believe the Harringtons bought food from at least 1 pizza restaurants in Daytona Beach and made other purchases at Daytona Beach businesses with those stolen cards, per the report.

The report noted that Larry admitted to making the charges at Luigi’s and that he arranged to pay it all back with the owner while Dawn claimed all the food orders came when an uncle was visiting from South Florida.
