Daytona Beach, FL – A 22-year-old Daytona Beach woman is behind bars after police say she lured a man out of his vehicle so he could be attacked and the vehicle could be stolen.

Angelique M. Casias was arrested around 8pm Thursday at her San Juan Avenue home and is held on $10,000 bond at Volusia County Jail on a felony charge of carjacking with a firearm as of 3:30pm Friday.

The Daytona Beach Police Department says Casias lured the 30-year-old victim to an area near the intersection of Washington Street and Kingston Avenue around 10:30pm Tuesday and that was when 2 men attacked the victim once she talked him into getting out of his 2008 Toyota Matrix.

According to the police report, the victim met Casias 2 weeks earlier at Razzle’s nightclub and had been exchanging texts with her regularly since then.

The victim – a Daytona Beach resident – claims Casias introduced him to her boyfriend at Razzle’s a week before the carjacking and told police that it was Casias’ boyfriend and another man he did not recognize who attacked him and took the Matrix.

The victim told police that Casias asked him on the night of the carjacking to pick her up at Washington and Kingston and that she appeared “very nervous” when trying to talk him out of leaving his vehicle to smoke a cigarette.

Once he did leave the vehicle, police think 2 black men armed with guns approached the victim, with the unidentified man getting into the Matrix and driving it away.

Officers think Casias’ boyfriend hit the victim on the left side of his face with a gun and made him take off all his clothes before running away with Casias on foot heading east on Kingston.

DBPD isn’t releasing the identity of Casias’ boyfriend but do have an arrest warrant out for him after the victim identified him and Casias in a photo lineup.

The report shows that Casias’ 33-year-old boyfriend was previously booked at VCJ.

Casias refused to talk without a lawyer present, per DBPD.

Anyone with information is asked to call DBPD at 386-671-5100 or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-8477 to remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward.
