Palm Coast, FL – A Palm Coast man is in critical condition following an early-morning traffic accident on State Road A1A in Flagler County.
It happened around 3:20am Saturday south of Cedar Point Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say 45-year-old Timothy Miller was driving a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer south on A1A when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curb, driving into the grassy center median.
FHP believes Miller overcorrected when turning right to get back on the road and that’s when the vehicle overturned multiple times and came to rest on the west grass shoulder.
Miller was thrown from the vehicle and eventually taken to Halifax Health Medical Center for treatment.
Charges are pending at this time since troopers believe Miller wasn’t wearing a seat belt and may have been under the influence at the time of the accident.
No other people or vehicles were involved, per FHP.
