Daytona Beach, FL-The latest gas price report from AAA Florida shows 46% of all Florida gas stations have prices below $2 a gallon now. The report shows that doesn’t include the Daytona Beach area metro.
In Daytona Beach, the average price for a gallon of regular self-serve unleaded was $2.02 Sunday. That’s down from $2.73 a year ago at the same time.
The national average for that same gallon of gas is now $2.03.
“Motorists are now saving an average of $18 for a full tank compared to two years ago when gas prices were above $3,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “These savings couldn’t come at a better time, as Americans look to allocate money for holiday shopping and travel.”
