Port Orange, FL – Investigators think at least 8 vehicle break-ins reported in Port Orange could be the work of a single person or the same group of people.
The Port Orange Police Department says all the reports were filed Friday morning between the hours of around 9 AM to 1 PM.
POPD Detective Sergeant Thomas Aiken says the break-ins were in different locations throughout the city.
“All of the incidents appear to be connected,” Aiken added. “The [Modus Operandi] was the same in each case and are consistent with Felony Lane activity.”
One of the break-ins happened at Spruce Creek Elementary School while another was at the Commonwealth Christian Church on Nova Road. There was also 3 reports filed at the Port Orange City Gym at City Center.
The other reported locations were the Ravenwood Plaza on Clyde Morris Boulevard, the Fleur de Lis Salon on Dunlawton Avenue and the United States Post Office branch on Dunlawton.
Officers are searching for a 2003 white Nissan Sentra that’s believed to be involved. It has a temporary Florida tag of BNN 9208.
POPD says officers have found video of the vehicle involved and released 2 screen shots from that footage. Those images are posted above and below this article.
