UPDATE (01-19-16): Freeze warning in effect for Palm Coast from 11 PM Tuesday to 8 AM Wednesday. Lows expected to fall into the high 20’s overnight. There’s no such watch or warning in effect for Volusia or the rest of Flagler at this time.

Earlier reporting below.

Daytona Beach, FL – Parts of Flagler County could freeze as the coldest temperatures yet this winter come barreling down into Central Florida.

The National Weather Service office in Jacksonville issued a Freeze Watch from 11 PM Monday until 8 AM Tuesday for the Palm Coast area as well as points further north.

Meteorologists expect breezy conditions and temperatures to fall into the low 30’s overnight for several hours in Flagler County. The low is expected to stay just above freezing for Volusia County during that time.

NWS says anyone with plants or pets should make sure to bring them indoors or keep them in a safe and warm spot.

Lows are expected to stick around the 30’s again for Tuesday night for much of the area, with the high for that day not much higher than the 50’s.

Highs in the 60’s are expected for Wednesday and should get into the 70’s by Friday before another big cold front comes in for the weekend, per NWS.

The only significant chance for rain all week is Thursday night going into Friday, with chances at up to 60% for Friday.
