Daytona Beach Shores, FL – Investigators are on the case after a 72-year-old man apparently drowned in a hot tub.
The Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety says Dana Chamberlin died soon after he was found around 7:15 PM Friday at the Oceans 10 Condominium.
DBS police Sergeant Mike Fowler says officers got on scene at 2917 South Atlantic Avenue within 2 minutes of getting a 911 call about an apparent drowning.
“Other residents advised they had found the man face down in the water but were unable to pull him out,” Fowler added. “Public safety officers removed the man and began resuscitative efforts.”
Paramedics took Chamberlin to Halifax Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives say it’s possible that Chamberlin had some sort of medical issue while in the hot tub.
