Daytona Beach, FL – Detectives are searching for a pair of white men who robbed a 23-year-old woman at gunpoint on her birthday.
The Daytona Beach Police Department released a sketch of one of the suspects in that February 3rd incident on the 300 block of North Grandview Avenue. That sketch is posted below this article.
The victim – an employee at a local IHOP – told police that she had just pulled into the driveway of her beachside residence around 9 o’clock that night when one of the 2 suspects tapped on her car window and asked for money.
The woman told officers that one of the men pointed a black handgun at her face and she laughed because she thought one of her friends was playing a birthday joke on her, but she then realized it wasn’t a joke when the other man opened the passenger door of her gold Nissan Maxima and pointed a silver gun at her.
Both men fled the scene on foot heading north on Wild Olive Avenue after she gave them $50, according to the incident report.
The first suspect is believed to be around 6 foot to 6’3 tall with a slim build, unkempt brown hair and a patchy goatee. The second is around 5’9 with an average build. Both were wearing dark colored hoodies and jeans.
