Volusia County, FL - You need law enforcement, but it’s not an emergency? There’s a new number for that. VCSO rolling out a cellular number to reach a non-emergency line at Sheriff’s Dispatch- #8276. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Gary Davidson says the number to use in an emergency is still 911.
Davidson says the Sheriff’s Office has been working with wireless carriers to implement the number that coincides with VCSO on the cell keypad.
Davidson says some factors like being in a tall building or out on the water may interfere with the cell number functioning, but that’s a minimal risk. If that happens, the numbers below will work:
