Daytona Beach, FL – Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting this weekend at a bank on beachside.

The Daytona Beach Police Department says it happened around 2:30am Saturday at the Wells Fargo branch at 441 Seabreeze Boulevard, 3 blocks east of the Seabreeze Bridge.

DBPD Sergeant James Chirco says the unidentified suspect is a black man between the ages of 19 and 25, stands around 5’11 and weighs around 170 pounds.

“[The suspect was] wearing a red bandanna over his head, a black Chicago Bulls hat with a red brim and knee length shorts,” Chirco added. “[The suspect] is believed to have left the scene in a 1996 Chevy Astro Van.”

DBPD believes the van is maroon in color and has a Tennessee license plate of J4765D.

Chirco says the van was last seen going west on International Speedway Boulevard.

“Witnesses advised that a Black Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab [with an] unknown tag may have also been involved,” Chirco noted.

No other details on the shooting have been released at this time by DBPD.

Anyone with information is asked to call DBPD Detective Williams at 386-671-5209 or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-8477 to remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward.
