Daytona Beach, FL-Only weeks after Volusia County Council voted for millions of dollars in infrastructure support for a proposed outlet mall in Daytona Beach, City Commissioners will take up the same issue at tonight’s meeting. When County Council voted members made sure wording in the document hung the county money on Daytona Beach also pledging it’s financial backing making clear they would not participate if Daytona Beach didn’t sign on.
The Tanger Factory Outlet Mall is planned for land near I-95 and LPGA Boulevard.
The item on the city agenda tonight would send $2.25 million to the project if a list of requirements are met.
Developers hope to have the project done and open by fall of 2016.
Daytona Beach City Commission meets tonight at 6PM.
