Daytona Beach, FL – Officers are trying to find the person who stole a car with a gun at a Daytona Beach dealership.
The Daytona Beach Police Department says it happened around 3:30pm Monday at Hendrick Honda on North Nova Road.
DBPD believes the suspect pulled a gun on the driver of a car hauler soon after a black 2012 Honda Civic was unloaded from that car hauler.
The suspect is believed to be a young man who arrived at the dealership in a white Kia Optima just prior to the carjacking.
Officers think the Civic was unlocked at the time and didn’t need a key in order to be driven away since it uses a push button to start the engine.
DBPD hasn’t released a formal description of the suspect at this time.
Anyone with information can call DBPD at 386-671-5100 or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-8477 to remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward.
