Daytona Beach, FL-United Parks, the new owner of Daytona Lagoon in Daytona Beach, plans $2 million in improvements over the next two years.
Volusia County Council last week approved the sale. A news release says the new owner plans a new attraction, a broader food selection and improved amenities for park visitors.
United Parks also owns Hydro Adventures in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and the historic Rye Playland in Westchester County, New York.
United Parks purchased the waterpark from DBWP, LLC through its subsidiary, Daytona Lagoon, LLC. The acquisition is expected to close on September 30, 2015.
