Volusia County, FL-Update: The National Hurricane Center says Erika has dissipated as a Tropical Cyclone and is ending watches and warnings for that system. The storm fell apart after crossing over the mountainous island of Hispanola.

Earlier reporting: The forecast track for Erika jogged to the west again Saturday when the NHC issued the latest predictions. Erika emerged from dumping rain on the Dominican Republic and Haiti still as a TS but a disorganized one at best.

The National Weather Service revised the local forecast here for early next week to remove mention of possible Tropical Storm conditions. Still, rain and winds gusting at times to 20 miles per hour are forecast here overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

In response to the new track, Flagler County EOC announced it’s operations were returning to normal as of 9:30 this morning. Kevin Guthrie, Flagler County Public Safety Manager, said all staff would return to their normal duties.

As with any forecast, experts warn the track of any storm can change.

Erika is forecast to move over Cuba early Sunday morning.
