LICENSE FRAUD

Daytona Beach, FL-Police in Daytona Beach want to catch up to suspects involved in what they call a case of “synthetic fraud” and at least four bogus credit cards. The police report says at least three of those cards were requested to be delivered to area hotels.

It was an investigator for Discover who contacted police about the case.

The unidentified suspect applied for the credit cards and had them delivered to hotels including the Plaza Resort and Spa, Courtyard Daytona Beach at the airport and a Residence Inn. The other card was sent to a hotel in Indiaatlantic. The investigaor asked for those packages to be returned to Discover.

A man showed up at the Marriot Courtyard asking for the package and had his driver’s license scanned by a front desk employee who then told him the package wasn’t there. The DL turned out to be fake and is seen with this story.

Anyone with information is asked to call the DBPD detective at 386-671-5247.
