DeLand, FL-Deputies say an argument outside a home in DeLand led to a man being shot multiple times with a pellet gun. Deputies went to the home at 1430 Stevens Avenue just before 7:30 AM today and found 37-year-old Lawrence Scandell shot in the chest and leg eight times.
He was transported as a precautionary measure to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford.
Deputies say Scandell was arguing with his girlfriend in the front yard of the home when 51-year old Douglas Barbee armed himself with the pellet gun and shot Scandell. Barbee was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana when he was arrested.
