Ormond Beach, FL – A woman wanted for attacking a man and stealing his wallet at a gas station on US 1 in Ormond Beach last month has turned herself in.
Danielle Marie Moher gave herself up on Labor Day on fraud and robbery charges stemming from the August 18th incident at the Texaco on South Yonge Street next to OBPD headquarters.
Ormond Beach Police Department Officer Keith Walker says Moher is being held on $30,000 bond at Volusia County Jail.
Investigators think Moher attacked a 59-year-old man just outside of the convenience store minutes after a clerk refused to sell her gas because she had no money.
“The suspect followed an elderly male subject out of the store and physically attacked him in the parking lot,” Walker stated. “The suspect struck the elderly male, pushed him to the ground and stole his wallet. The suspect then left the scene in a dark colored passenger car.”
The victim’s credit card was used a short time later in Holly Hill to purchase gas, according to Walker.
OBPD released security video from the incident. That’s posted above this article.
VCJ records show Moher’s been booked there 2 times before, including in February for grand theft and in January for making false 911 calls.
