New Smyrna Beach, FL-Starting October 1, all beach visitors who want to park in beachfront lots in New Smyrna Beach will have to pay. Locals can get parking passes free. Those decal permits are available starting September 15 for NSB and Volusia County residents.
City officials say parking will be enforced daily from 9 AM to 5 PM at four beachfront parks. They are 27th Avenue Beachfront Park, Flagler Avenue Beachfront Park, Esther Street Beachfront Park and Grayce Barck North Beach Community Park.
Resident parking passes will be good through 2016. Applications can be submitted in person at the New Smyrna Beach Finance Department at 210 Sams Avenue. The office is open Monday-Friday-9 AM to 5 PM. Proof of Volusia County residency is needed. Applications available online here.
Non-resident or non-qualifying vehicles can pay the daily parking fee of $10 at electronic kiosks.
Annual non-resident passes are $100. Daily fines for vehicles without passes are $25.
On Saturday’s in October, City staff will collect parking pass applications onsite at the beachfront parks. Dates and times to be announced.
