Daytona Beach, FL – Investigators are trying to find a man who used a stolen credit card at 6 different stores in the Daytona Beach area.
The Daytona Beach Police Department released security video and stills of the man officers are looking for in those incidents, all of which happened on September 11th. Those are posted above and below this article.
According to the incident report, a 57-year-old woman who works at Davita Dialysis Clinic on Health Boulevard came to DBPD headquarters at 11:30pm on September 11th to report a car burglary.
That woman told DBPD she had trouble finding her black shoulder bag when leaving work the day before, but she figured she had left it in her office, so she didn’t report it missing then.
It wasn’t until the following night when the woman discovered 7 charges on her bank statement that she says she never made, leading her to think someone stole her purse from her blue 2014 Chevrolet Malibu while she was at work.
Police say the man who stole the card racked up over $484 at various stores before the victim canceled the card, including a liquor store in Ormond Beach, 2 Dollar General’s in Daytona Beach, 2 Family Dollar’s in Daytona Beach and a Walgreens and Kmart in Daytona Beach.
DBPD didn’t give a formal description of the suspect, but the video shows him to be a black man with glasses and facial hair, wearing an olive green hat and a black shirt with silver strips near the armpits.
