Flagler County, FL-A phoned in threat led to a search at Flagler Palm Coast High School and Flagler Technical Institute today. The anonymous call came in just after 11 AM to FCSO dispatch saying there was a weapon on the campus. Deputies responded to the school and searched but nothing was found.
Flagler County Schools spokesman Jason Wheeler says after the call to FCSO dispatch, school officials were notified and the campus alert level was increased to “orange” which means no classes change, students and staff remain in place and outdoor activities are cancelled. After the search found no weapon on campus, the threat level went to “yellow” which means increased law enforcement presence on campus.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The alert level on campus returned to “green” around 12:30 PM.
