Daytona Beach, FL – 5 men are arrested in another Daytona Beach prostitution sting.
Those 5 men were all arrested on Monday by the Daytona Beach Police Department in an operation that targeted the US 1/Ridgewood Avenue corridor.
All of the arrests came during the day and involve misdemeanor charges of either aiding or abetting in prostitution or solicitiation, according to the arrest reports.
Among those arrested were 63-year-old Clarence R. Isley and 61-year-old Paul J. Varriale, both Daytona Beach residents.
Also arrested were 2 South Daytona residents – 50-year-old Floyd Dixon and 47-year-old Pernell K. Raggins – as well as 38-year-old Terrance D. Brown of Holly Hill.
Officers say Brown used a motorized bicycle to approach an undercover female officer and ask for sex. The others used vehicles and those were impounded as part of the operation, per the reports.
The reports also show that all of the suspects offered cash for sex to the undercover officer except for Raggins, who allegedly offered crack cocaine instead.
Dixon’s report noted that he was also given a traffic citation that would revoke his driver’s license permanently upon conviction.
All of the suspects are allowed to leave once they post $500 bond, according to Volusia County Jail records.
