Port Orange, FL-Police are investigating an accident on Ridgewood Avenue last night that killed a 46-year-old Port Orange woman. Police say Agar Garcia was on foot near Fox Place when she was hit by a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Jeronimo Zaragoza of New Smyrna Beach.
The accident happened at about 6:06 PM.
The driver was not hurt.
Garcia was taken to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach where she later died.
An autopsy is pending.
Police ask for any witnesses to the accident to call Officer Josh Eddy at 386-506-5838.
