Deltona, FL – A Walmart in Deltona was evacuated for several hours because of a bomb threat.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s office says the threat came in through a phone call around 3:30pm Tuesday, leading deputies to evacuate the store on 101 Howland Boulevard.
That store is next to the intersection of Howland and Country Road 415, not far from Osteen.
Bomb-sniffing dogs went through the store and the parking lot before VCSO sounded the all-clear around 5:45pm.
VCSO also blocked off part of the roadway leading to the store while bomb squad personnel were checking the area.
No other details have been released at this time by VCSO.
