Daytona Beach, FL – More details on the inaugural edition of a 3-day country music festival at Daytona International Speedway should be coming next week.

That’s the word from DIS officials after they announced a press conference at 11am Tuesday (November 3rd) featuring DIS President Joie Chitwood III and Quint Davis, the Producer/Director of the “Country 500″ festival.

DIS and Festival Productions, Inc. of New Orleans are working together on an event that organizers promise will feature over 40 of the largest country music acts playing in the DIS infield all 3 days of the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

The inaugural edition of the Country 500 – also known as “The Great American Music Fest at Daytona” – is scheduled to begin in 2016 and run every year after that.

Among the acts already confirmed for 2016 are Florida Georgia Line – featuring Ormond Beach native Brian Kelley, the son of Ormond Beach Mayor Ed Kelley – as well as Luke Bryan, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum and Willie Nelson.

Bryan is expected to be the final act on the final night while FGL will be the final act the night before. A headline act for the first night hasn’t been determined at this time.

DIS officials say the complete Country 500 lineup will be released on November 3rd, with camping and VIP packages going on sale to the public the same day, including a special early bird package worth $199 that includes general admission passes.

3 specially designed performance stages will be used during the festival, all of them set up in the infield.

Attendees will have the option of camping out in the infield in much the same fashion as is currently allowed for the NASCAR and Rolex 24 races.

Food booths, food trucks, carnival rides, arcade games, cooling water elements, country-and-western merchandise, and fireworks will also be part of the 3-day festival.
