Daytona Beach, FL – Investigators are trying to find a sexual predator who allegedly threatened to shoot 2 women with a BB gun earlier this month.
The Daytona Beach Police Department is searching for 36-year-old Adriane L. Soles of Jacksonville in connection with that July 14th incident at a home on Cherry Street.
According to the incident report, the 37-year-old woman who lives at the home told DBPD Soles threatened her and a 28-year-old cousin of hers around 5pm that day after the woman’s cousin came to the home to pick up her son.
The woman and her friend went into a back room to talk privately and Soles – who was sitting in a couch – came up from behind and starting yelling at the women to mind their own business, per the report.
Investigators think that triggered a shouting match, leading Soles to run to the front of the house, grab a BB gun that looked like a real gun and point it at the women.
The report noted Soles saying he was “going to blast all of you” and that he didn’t “give an [expletive].”
Soles ran from the home with the gun and some other items he took from the home while the woman’s friend called 911, according to the report.
A 38-year-old male witness told DBPD he saw one of the women chasing Soles near the corner of Cherry and Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and that he also saw Soles throw “something black” into an empty field nearby.
DBPD says a black BB gun was found in the field soon afterwards by the witness and it was seized as evidence.
The report notes that Soles doesn’t have a permanent address and that he’s facing 2 felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon once he’s caught.
Soles is described as a white man who stands 5’10 and weights around 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has tattoos of a cross, a banner and a 6-point star on his right arm and another on his stomach.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement records shows Soles was convicted in 2005 of having sex with a teenage girl between the ages of 16 and 18 in Duval County. He’s also been convicted on arson charges in Miami-Dade County and a fire obstruction charge in Charlotte County.
