October Single Family Home Sales Mixed Here

Daytona Beach, FL - A mixed report when it comes to October sales here of existing single family homes-the number of homes sold was down compared to a year ago, but the median price was up. The Daytona Beach area MLS shows 372 homes sold compared to 384 a year ago in October. The median sales price was $175,000 up from $159,250 a year ago at the same time.

“Single-family home sales and prices remained very strong in October,” said Daytona Beach area Realtor Ron Wysocarski, leader of The Wyse Home Team at Keller-Williams Realty in Port Orange, FL. “Prices were up by nearly 10 percent year-over-year, and the median sales price held strong again as one of the highest we’ve seen this year.”

Year to date sales total 4271 and that’s up 14.5% over last year. The median sales price this year is $163,990 year to date. That’s up 6.8% over last year.

The hot market last month was the City of Ormond Beach where 118 homes sold at a $202,950 median sales price.

That was followed by Daytona Beach with 107 homes sold at a median price of %115,000. Port Orange followed in third with 99 homes sold at $199,900 median sales price.
