Daytona Beach, FL – Interstate 95 was clogged up in Daytona Beach for hours during morning drive following an accident with injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol says it happened around 6:30 AM Tuesday on the southbound side of Mile Marker 261. That’s just south of US 92/International Speedway Boulevard.
2 left lanes and the exit ramp were blocked as crews worked to clear the scene.
FL 511 reported 4 miles of traffic backups at one point from the accident scene heading north to LPGA Boulevard.
This came just hours after that same mile marker on the northbound side was closed for a good part of the overnight due to a multi-vehicle accident with injuries involving semi trucks. Both accident scenes have since been cleared.
