Daytona Beach, FL – 6 people end the year in lockup following the latest undercover prostitution operation in Daytona Beach.
4 men and 2 woman – all but 1 from Volusia County – were arrested Tuesday and Wednesday by the Daytona Beach Police Department and booked at the Volusia County Jail.
The operation targeted certain websites where prostitutes are known to advertise their services, according to DBPD.
All of the arrest locations were redacted from the reports, but the narratives indicate that all the arrests were made at local hotels and motels where a room had been rented out.
DBPD says undercover officers posed as potential customers when they used those web ads to contact the suspects and arranged to meet them in hotel rooms that were electronically monitored for officer safety and to gather evidence.
A list of the 4 women arrested, what cities they live in, what they’ve been charged with and their bond amounts are posted below.
– 42-year-old Angela M. Lockhart of Daytona Beach: Misdemeanor prostitution. $500 bond.
– 32-year-old Colleen F. Clarke of Port Orange: Felony prostitution and drug possession. $2,500 bond.
– 29-year-old Kristina M. Burns of Deltona Misdemeanor prostitution. $500 bond.
– 18-year-old Kerri A. Haney of Sanford: Misdemeanor prostitution. $500 bond.
Clarke’s charges were upgraded to felonies because of prior convictions for prostitution. Her arrest report shows police found Alprazolam pills in her purse locked in a white container that was wrapped with a pink Hello Kitty sticker.
25-year-old Kelsey T. McFoley of DeLand was charged with 3 felony drug counts after officers found heroin, synthetic marijuana and stimulants in the car he used to drive Burns to the hotel, according to his arrest report. He’s held at VCJ on $5,000 bond on those charges and for misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession.
26-year-old Javon D. Taylor of Osteen is held without bond after was arrested at the same hotel where Haney was taken into custody. His arrest report shows officers found him sitting in the parking lot in a bronze-colored Chevrolet and that he was wanted in Seminole County on a probation violation.
Taylor’s arrest report also lists Haney as a co-defendant, but any other connection between the 2 was redacted from the report.
