New Smyrna Beach, FL – A New York tourist visiting family in Florida leaves with a huge cash prize.
Aline “Anne” Lawrenson – a Troy resident – won the top prize in the $500,000 Flamingo Multiplier Scratch-Off game, according to a press release sent Tuesday by the Florida Lottery’s Tallahassee headquarters.
Lawrenson paid $5 for her winning ticket at the Tobacco Leaf store on 1970 State Road 44 in New Smyrna Beach.
Lottery officials say Lawrenson bought the ticket on the 2nd day of a trip to see her daughter.
The Flamingo Multiplier game debuted last month and features over $113 million in cash prizes.
