Port Orange, FL-Port Orange has a new police chief. City Manager Jake Johansson naming Thomas Grimaldi to the post.
Grimaldi is a 26-year veteran of the Bristol, Connecticut force and has been police chief there since 2012.
Grimaldi was chosen from a field of 119 candidates.
Grimaldi takes over from retiring Chief of Police Gerald Monahan, Jr., who leaves the job in November.
