Ormond Beach, FL – A woman is dead following a 2-vehicle accident on US 1 in Ormond Beach.
The Ormond Beach Police Department says it happened around 2:45pm Wednesday at the Rosewood Avenue intersection, just north of West Granada Boulevard.
OBPD officer Keith Walker says US 1 northbound was closed in the area for some time as investigators processed the scene, but the road has since re-opened.
Initial reports indicate that a vehicle was heading north on US 1 when it struck a vehicle trying to cross the intersection from Rosewood.
OBPD has yet to release the age and name of the woman who died soon after the accident at Halifax Health Medical Center.
Walker says next of kin has yet to be notified.
More details on the accident will likely be released on Thursday, per Walker.
