Daytona Beach, FL – Investigators want your help to find a man suspected of breaking into several vehicles in the LPGA International community.
The Daytona Beach Police Department released security video on Wednesday of that suspect trying to open a car early Saturday morning (October 24th). That video is posted above this article.
According to the incident report, an officer was called out to a home in the community around 11am Saturday after a resident said someone stole around $3.50 in loose change from the inside of his 2005 GMC truck.
Per the report, the owner of that truck – a 55-year-old retired federal law enforcement officer – told police he found his driver’s side door slightly open earlier that morning.
Police believe the robber stole nothing else from that vehicle, leaving behind a set of golf clubs and a flashlight.
The video of the suspect came from a resident who lives near the retired officer, per the report.
DBPD says other similar break-ins were reported in the immediate area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact DBPD Detective Steve Yunick at 386-671-5240 or yunicks@dbpd.us.
