DeLand, FL – 2 dogs were found dead after firefighters put out a blaze at a home near DeLand.
It happened just before Noon Tuesday at the home on 2110 Calle Carmen. That’s near Cypress Lake.
Volusia County fire officials say the fire was only in 1 room in the house and that the smoke likely killed the dogs.
No people were in the home at the time of the fire, including the residents, according to Volusia County Fire Services.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what caused the fire.
