DeLand, FL – Investigators are searching for a man who robbed a DeLand bank with a gun the day before Thanksgiving.
The DeLand Police Department says it happened around 11:40am Wednesday at the PNC Bank on 111 Endicott Way. That’s near the intersection of Orange Camp Road and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Beltway.
DeLand PD Lieutenant Randel Henderson says a middle-aged white man wearing a dark baseball cap with red letters on the front and a collared red and white plaid button-down shirt with short sleeves had a black semi-automatic pistol when he went into the bank.
“The suspect demanded money from bank employees,” Henderson added. “The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect’s method of travel has not been confirmed at this time.”
The suspect also has short hair and was carrying a black backpack, according to officers.
No other information is available at this time, per DeLand PD.
